The faculty of nursing strives to have a positive impact on the quality of health care both on local and national levels and to advance the nursing science. The mission of educational program is to prepare graduate who can function effectively in multifaceted roles in a variety of settings to promote the health and well being of people. The program strives to instill a spirit of inquiry, to encourage academic excellence, and to foster life-long learning in all students. The focus activities is directed toward the areas of education, research, and practice. Faculty of Nursing is aiming to prepare a qualified nurse scientifically and skillfully to be capable of performing comprehensive nursing care and total societal health awareness and improving her/his managerial and leadership abilities. The faculty is participating in enhancing the academic role in the development of nursing profession with the different health services as performing field researches that closely related to various nursing sciences
With the ever-changing health care system, nursing education has become responsible for shaping practice, not merely responding to changes in the practice environment. Nursing education should prepare expert practitioners and change agents who can participate as full in health care delivery and in shaping health policy. Partnership between nursing education and nursing practice will be the key to quality nursing care.

builds upon the concepts of human, society, health, nursing and teaching.
The following constitutes the philosophy of the faculty of nursing as regard nursing education.
We believe that nursing education:
" Should guide the learner to attain competencies required to practice professional nursing.
" The baccalaureate level is the basis for professional practice as a nurse generalist.
" The graduate diplomas and the master's level should focus on preparation for specialized and advanced practice.
" The doctoral level is designed to prepare scientists and nursing academicians who will seek to participate in interdisciplinary research and contribute to the ongoing development of nursing knowledge and science of nursing.
